BUT since it’s her birthday, I get to be a ham and say she’s super special and dear to me.Our first hangout ended up being a nudie/set design collaboration and it happened with such ease and comfortability—much like how it felt to become close friends. Happiest Birthday to one of the coolest humans around — Ruth!
Ruth’s been a Peace Corps volunteer in Fiji for the last few years where she worked for Lautoka city council and as a school teacher. She is also an advocate for cycling, had hundreds of bikes sent to Fiji, and started a cycling club that even teaches people how to work on their bicycles. Ruth also biked across the US right before she left for PC. I’m not sure how she manages to do everything she does but she fucking crushes it all the time. 😘

Happy 30th, Kristin! My BFF and top model even from the days photography puzzled me and when I was so shy my voice cracked when speaking to people I didn’t know. In the first days of high school we met and immediately formed a psychic bond/twin language — maybe mostly made up of cat sounds (if that already wasn’t a given). She’s a genius with computers and codes away now in Arizona. She also got married this year (to the only man I ever thought was good enough for Kristin :) and next year she’ll have her first child (to be spoiled with songs and too many toys). Despite being thousands of miles away for years now, we still make the best of it. (Grand Canyon trip SOON.) We can get through anything, even ‘The Pixie Stix Incident.’ 😹😻
